Terms of Participation of Club Members in the Training Program

This document defines the procedure for participation of members of “ΝΑΥΤΑΘΛΗΤΙΚΟΣ ΟΜΙΛΟΣ ΜΑΡΙΟΥΠΟΛΙΤΩΝ ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟΝΙΚΗΣ” (N.O.MA.Θ.) in the training program organized by the club jointly with a partner yachting school.

1. General provisions

1.1. N.O.MA.Θ. is a non-profit sports public organization operating in accordance with its statute and the applicable legislation of Greece.

1.2. The club may organize the participation of its members in training programs corresponding to the statutory purposes of the club, including training related to yachting, maritime practice, and the development of relevant skills.

1.3. This program is available only to club members.

1.4. The information posted on the website is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a public offer or an offer for the sale of educational services on behalf of the club.

2. Status of the club and the partner school

2.1. The club is not a yachting school and does not provide educational services in its own name.

2.2. The training, the examination, and the procedures related to obtaining the relevant licence to operate a yacht are carried out by the partner yachting school in accordance with its powers, internal rules, and applicable procedures.

2.3. The club performs an organizational and coordinating function, including:

- accepting applications for participation;

- including club members in the group;

- coordinating communication;

- organizational support of club members’ participation in the program;

- payment of the partner yachting school’s invoice from the club’s account.

3. Who may participate in the program

3.1. A participant in the program may be a person who:

- has submitted an application to join the club;

- has been admitted as a club member in the established manner;

- has fulfilled the participation conditions provided for by this document.

3.2. Existing club members may participate in the program under the conditions provided for existing members.

4. Procedure for joining the club and participating in the program

4.1. A person wishing to participate in the program submits an application to join the club.

4.2. After being admitted as a club member, the person obtains the right to participate in the training program organized by the club for its members.

4.3. To participate in the program, a club member submits an application through the website, by e-mail, by telephone, or by any other available means of communication.

4.4. After confirmation of the organizational conditions, the club includes the member in the relevant group and coordinates his or her participation in the program at the partner school.

5. Payments and contributions

5.1. The following payments apply to new club members:

- €100 — joining fee;

- €850 — voluntary donation / contribution for the implementation of the program and the statutory purposes of the club.

5.2. For existing club members who have already joined the club earlier, the joining fee is not paid again. In such case, the amount of the contribution for participation in the program is:

- €850 — voluntary donation / contribution for the implementation of the program and the statutory purposes of the club.

5.3. In cases where the program is conducted in a different format, place of conduct, or with a different volume of organizational expenses, the amount of the relevant contribution may differ. The current amount is indicated on the website or communicated to the club member separately before confirmation of participation.

5.4. All payments are made to the club by bank transfer to the official bank account of the club.

5.5. The specified amounts do not constitute payment for educational services provided by the club. They are payments to the club in connection with membership and participation in the program organized for club members.

6. Use of funds

6.1. Funds received by the club within the framework of this program are used for:

- covering the club’s organizational expenses;

- payment of the partner yachting school’s invoice for the training of club members;

- ensuring the statutory activities of the club;

- development of the club’s sports and other statutory areas;

- acquisition of equipment, inventory, and other necessary means for the club’s activities.

6.2. Funds remaining after expenses are covered are not distributed among club members, the club’s management, or third parties as profit, but are used exclusively for the statutory purposes of the club.

7. Training procedure

7.1. The training is conducted by the partner yachting school.

7.2. The content of the program, schedule, language of instruction, duration, examination format, and other matters of the educational process are determined by the partner school.

7.3. The club has the right to provide club members with general organizational information about the program, dates, venue, group composition, and other related matters.

7.4. The club is not responsible for the teaching methodology, the content of the examination, the school’s internal rules, the requirements for candidates, or the decisions of the school or competent authorities regarding admission, examination results, or the issuance of a licence.

8. Licence and documents

8.1. The decision on admission to the examination, successful completion thereof, issuance of the licence, and the set of required documents is taken and carried out within the procedures of the partner school and/or other competent authorities.

8.2. The club does not guarantee the automatic issuance of a licence, its international recognition, or the recognition of the licence by a specific charter company or in a specific jurisdiction.

8.3. Recognition of the licence may depend on the requirements of the country, charter company, insurance company, or other applicable rules.

9. Cancellation of participation, rescheduling, and refunds

9.1. Issues of rescheduling participation, possible cancellation, and possible refunds are considered taking into account:

- the actual expenses incurred by the club;

- the terms of the partner yachting school;

- the stage of organizational preparation;

- the date of withdrawal from participation.

9.2. If, at the time of withdrawal, the club has already incurred expenses or has paid the relevant invoice to the partner school in full or in part, the refund shall be made only to the possible extent after deduction of the actual expenses incurred.

9.3. If cancellation or rescheduling of participation is connected with weather conditions, decisions of the school, safety, technical reasons, or other circumstances beyond the club’s control, the participation dates may be changed.

10. Obligations of the participant

10.1. A club member is obliged to provide accurate data necessary for organizing participation.

10.2. A club member is obliged to comply with the rules of the club and the rules of the partner yachting school.

10.3. A club member is obliged to independently familiarize himself or herself with the participation requirements, necessary documents, admission conditions, and other significant circumstances communicated to him or her before the start of the program.

11. Processing of personal data

11.1. Participants’ personal data are processed by the club in accordance with the Privacy Policy posted on the website.

11.2. To the extent necessary for organizing participation in the program, the participant’s data may be transferred to the partner school and other persons involved in organizing the program, where there is an appropriate legal basis.

12. Final provisions

12.1. The club has the right to make changes to these Terms of Participation of Club Members in the Training Program.

12.2. The current version of the document is published on the website.

12.3. For all questions related to participation in the program, a club member may contact the club using the contact details indicated on the website.

12.4. Submission of an application to participate in the program through the website, by e-mail, in a messenger, or by any other means of communication means that the club member confirms that he or she has read these Terms of Participation of Club Members in the Training Program and agrees to them.
